Walk For Nature
The walk for nature is an event organized by NCF to sensitize the public on the need to conserve nature, knowing fully well that man’s livelihood depends on it.
Date: Saturday, April 5, 2008 (Tentatively).
Venue and time will be communicated at a later date.
World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD)
World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) is a global celebration of migratory birds aiming to raise awareness, to highlight the need to protect migratory birds and their habitats and to inspire people to take action.
This year (2008), WMBD focuses on Biodiversity: Migratory Birds- ambassadors for Biodiversity.
WMBD will be celebrated on weekend of May 10 -11, 2008.
World Environment Day (WED)
World Environment Day (WED) is commemorated each year on June 5. NCF celebrates WED with a school events thereby encouraging ingenuity, teamwork and creating awareness amongst children and youths.
The Theme for this year WED is Co2 kick the Habit! - towards a low carbon economy.
In preparation for the World Environment Day celebration on June 5, schools and corporate organizations are being invited for the programme. The event will be celebrated by NCF at the Lekki Conservation Centre in Lagos.
