Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), the foremost environmental NGO in Nigeria dedicated to nature conservation and sustainable development embarks on waste management advocacy campaign activities in 20 communities in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State.
NCF received Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation grant to advocate for actions that promote proper waste separation, management and disposal in selected communities of Lagos State, geared towards making our environment sustainable and habitable for future generation.
ACT Foundation established in 2016 is a grant making non-profit organisation hinged on four pillars: Health, Entrepreneurship, Environment and Leadership. In 2017, 22 NGOs including NCF benefitted from the first grant cycle of the Foundation.
The selected communities are Sangotedo, Idado, Gbara, Elegushi, Iru/Victoria Island, Agungi, Olugborogan, the host community to NCF, among others.
The project will be carried out over a period of six months, commencing from September 2017. It has been divided into 5 major phases: Community Entry; Community & School Sensitisation; Clean up Exercise; Monitoring & Evaluation; and Post Project Supervision.
